  2. IAP Mission Statement To support the ITRC mission, the Industry Affiliates Program will provide financial, technical, and market information and resources to the ITRC

  3. Benefits to ITRC • Financial support not linked to a line item • Provides an official mode for 2-way communication between ITRC and industry • A diverse IAP prevents undue influence of a single organization on a document or training material • One vote per organizations provides equal influence for small and large companies

  4. Benefits to Industry • Information • Access • Participation IAP Will Not • Seek to develop or influence regulatory policy • Be a forum for marketing activities • Engage in lobbying

  5. Other Successful Programs • CSG Associates Program (www.csg.org) • Similar mission, purpose and structure to IAP • $6000 membership fee • 100’s of member companies and trade associations

  6. Other Successful Programs • US Fuel Cell Council (www.usfcc.com) • Mission is to foster advancement of fuel cell technology • $5K and $10K membership fees • 100’s of member companies and trade associations • Initially membership was free

  7. IAP Membership Fee Structure • Voluntary membership in 2005 • Membership in IAP is mandatory for participation in ITRC – starting 2006 • Fee structure (per yr): • Gold status: $15,000 • 75+ employees: $7,500 • 20-75 employees: $5000 • <20 employees: $1000

  8. Current Membership 19 IAP members from all levels • 5 Gold members • 3 Regular members at 75+ employees • 1 Regular member at 20-75 employees • 10 Regular members at <20 employees • $112,500 raised in 2005 (voluntary membership)

  11. ITRC Industry Recognition Awards • IAP members do not need to give 10% of their time to ITRC • Instead, each ITRC Team awards 1 or 2 industry members for the ITRC Industry Recognition Award • Awardees will receive a 25% reduction in membership fees for the following year
