  5. Submission via Schools • Alternatively, pupils may go to General Officeto submit their Sec One Option Form. Parents MUST be present.

  6. If someone else is submitting the form on pupil’s behalf, kindly ensure the person collecting it comes with the Proxy Form. All details can be found in the mail pouches given out to pupils today.   12. What can Parents do? Parents play a vital role in helping their children decide how to map an education pathway that will best fit him/her. You may wish to consider the following: • Use the 6Ps to guide your child • Explore the schools with your child • Explore the ecareers.sg portal

  13. a) Consider 6 P’s for choice of school • Personal Characteristics • Practicalities • Progression Opportunities • Parental Involvement • Peers • Plan

  14. Consider the 6P’s Personal Characteristics How does the school bring out the best in my child? What are some existing school programmes that may interest my child and support his/her holistic development? Practicalities How far is the school from my home? Will my child be able to go to school by bus or MRT? How can I be involved in my child’s education? Based on my child’s results, which schools can my child select?

  15. Consider the 6P’s Progression Opportunities Will there be opportunities for my child to take a more demanding subject/course? What qualification will my child graduate with after completing the secondary education? What are my child’s options after graduation? Parents What kind of guidance, perspective or support can I provide to help my child make a more informed choice? 2. How can I help my child find out more about the schools?

  16. Consider the 6P’s Peers How can I better guide my child without having him/her follow his/her peers blindly? Plan Exercise the 6 choices of schools wisely. Have a plan for each choice.

  37. Appeal for Review of Results • Parents may appeal for a review of the results for the marking of the scripts to be rechecked • All appeals for review of results must be made through the Principal • School Admin will provide all necessary application forms.

  38. Appeal for Review of Results • There is an appeal fee of S$48.15 per subject (inclusive GST). • All Appeal Applications must be done by Thursday 28 November 2013 5:00pm
