Tuesday 9.13.2011 • Pre-reading vocabulary worksheet: Chapter 3 • Draw 10 empty word map boxes!! • Using words 11 – 20 on the handout • Box #1: Guess the meaning (Use sentences on handout/Context Clues) • Box #2: Dictionary definition (ONLY after all 10 guesses are made) • Box #3: Give an example (A person, place, thing or action that exemplifies that word) • Box #4: Write the sentence (Make up a sentence using it correctly) • When you are finished practice spelling the words a few times each
