In this lesson, we will examine ourselves to ensure we are in the faith and prioritize seeking God's kingdom. We will explore how putting Him first impacts our goals and discuss the importance of loving God with all our hearts. Let's resolve to make God and His kingdom our top priority!

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? – Unless indeed you are disqualified.”2 Corinthians 13:5
Examination is something that is important from time to time. • With 2012 approaching it is a good time to examine. • In our lessons today we want to notice some underlying issues that could hinder us from achieving our goals.
Seek First the Kingdom of God • Matthew 6:33 • This is the key to everything • Kingdom – means the dominion of a king (ruler) • Ours is a spiritual kingdom – Jn. 18:36, Lk. 17:20-21
Seek First the Kingdom of God • It means: Serving God is our greatest priority. • Joshua 24:15 • Why are we REALLY here? • Luke 14:33, 26-27Matt. 10:37-38
Seek First the Kingdom of God • It means: Serving Him is the FIRST thing we will do. • Our priority to make Him first! • Life is uncertain - Jas. 4:14, Heb. 9:27
Seek First the Kingdom of God • The FIRST thing we will do. • His apostles understood this – Matt. 4:20-22, 9:9, John 1:35-42 • Luke 17:6-10, • NO excuses - 9:57-62
Seek First the Kingdom of God • Do we REALLY take this command seriously? • What does our conduct say? • When He is first, it will influence everything we do.
Love God will all your heart • Matthew 22:37-40 • This is the foundation of obeying God! • “Christian love” (agape) – we care enough to sacrifice for what is best

Love God will all your heart • Let us resolve that we will truly love God as we should • Obey Him. Know His will! 2 Tim. 2:15
