Health and Wellbeing Engagement Forum Role / function • Provide assurance to the Health and Wellbeing Board that public consultation has taken place, including developing communication and engagement plan • Use member networks to disseminate information from commissioners to the public, patients, carers etc and provide opportunities for commissioners to meet / consult directly with relevant groups. • Ensure that engagement networks are well co-ordinated and are communicating with each other, minimising duplication. • Respond to requests from the Health and Wellbeing Board to facilitate engagement in specific projects. • Feed issues into the Board, as relevant Activities to date • Input into JSNA, engagement with public • Designed public engagement plan for JHWB Strategy • To develop communication and engagement plan (Future)

  5. Case study: Example Self harm and suicide • Issue raised at HWB Engagement Forum and through Partnership • Response from board – tasked investigation into the scale of issue and activities being undertaken to address it • Multi agency response, including sharing of intelligence and activities being undertaken by partners • Report to go back to board, detailing intelligence / evidence gathered, actions being undertaken and any joint actions to be considered.
