COMPLEMENTARITY BETWEENSPFS/SFI/CCD/CBD/CCC • Analysis shows that all these programmes have: • high inter-relation ; can not be treated separately • strong national ownership with international partnership • emphasis on resources but need to include more socio-economic aspects • rely generally on the same human resources at local and national level Integrated & participatory approach at all levels; optimising priorities and harmonising actions
3. PROPOSALS • joint operational programmes in countries aiming at complementarity and when possible integration of SPFS/ SFI/ CCD/ CCC/ CBD at all levels • joint normative activities ( information systems, best practices, stocktaking and success stories,..) with focu on integration of issues related to FS/SFI/CCD/CCC/CBD • Strengthening the SFI International Facilitationand building and streamlining of working groups, networks and partnerships at: local, national and international levels
