  5. They came from the cities, they came from the towns, they came from the farms, 450,000 strong They put up their plows, they laid down their pens, they closed up their shops, and put off their crops,

  6. then they marched away for the unknown

  7. Over 46,000Never Came Home

  8. Help us celebrate this defining moment in our Nation’s history. Watch this site for upcoming events and announcements. Starting in 2011 and continuing until 2015 Celebrations and Commemorations that are 150 years in the making
