Lessons Learned for RTP & SB 375 • Existing regional (MPO) boundaries are “dated”; Plans assuming current boundaries will be flawed • Regions have significant impacts and implications beyond current boundaries • RTPs should evaluate these impacts • Neighboring MPOs must collaborate on “shared” solutions to “shared” problems; • These solutions/policies/projects/programs must be included in the SB 375 versions of the RTP • Conflict resolution process is inevitable!
