Money Trap Jaydon, aristotte, MUHSIN, nyle
Idea Of The Film • It originally starts with 4 criminals who do a heist for money but it turns out that one of the characters is blinded by greed so he plots to betray his accomplices and take all the money for him self • He kills 2 of the accomplices and leaves the last one to get the money and flee but his route is cut out by the last man standing with a gun • The betrayer thinks that the last guy knows that he killed the others so he spills it all out. This is all new for the last man so he pulls the trigger
Target Audience • Our target audience is aimed from ages around 16-25 • We are targeting more of a male gender but females may also be interested • It would relate to a more working class citizens but middle class may also like the action
Locations • We will be using Muhsin’s house for the heist • The same house for the neutral location will be used, but change the interior design • We will use any back roads as well to commit the murders
Generic profile of film • Costume; we plan to make it as professional as possible so characters will be wearing formal blazers all the same colour with balaclavas over there faces. • Used as like there uniform as a heist is normally organised crime • Props; guns typical to heist robbery used to create fear, briefcase to fit in with are professional theme also to conceal the duffle bags to carry the money. • Characters; one main leader others part of the operation or the team.
Consideration of narrative theory approaches • We plan to keep the convention of the raid/robbery as simplistic as possible with a gang raid type house move idea, e.g. stealing from a house. • But also trying to add twists of deception in the betrayal from within displaying this through greed and a selfish mentality. • We plan to use save zones/neutral places to enforce the idea in a movie like this ‘save heavens’ are a well used convention. Equilibrium; • The money was successfully taken and everyone is happy Disruption; A chain of deception begins with a character being murdered Equilibrium again; The murderer is revealed and killed by the hero in the film
Key Representation Issues • They are all professional criminals and this is seen by the imperative commands made when carrying out the heist. • Gender is also portrayed through the black clothes baggy jeans, hoodie and balaclava. It represents the main features of a male criminal character.
The characters are wearing all black clothing such as balaclava’s and black gloves, hoodieswhich resembles them as criminals. • Our media production shows the stereotype of the ages by the film involving gang related footage.
Film Poster • The main theme of the poster is to be mysterious. The way in which will do that is by using the urban area as a background. • Include characters names with characters in front of the urban buildings but blacked out. • We are planningto include star ratings from newspapers and audience profile from viewers.
Camera • Close ups will be used to explore the characters facial expression and their feelings when they are told that one of the accomplices has been hunted down • Various angles such as high and low angles will be used to display the characters power status and canted angle when the murderer is killed to confirm the conflict is resolved • Pans and hand held shots will be used to amplify the action and make the audience feel more interested feel like their in the situation
Editing • Fast paced editing of the accomplices feet running which builds a wall the audience can't wait to see over • we will also use fade to black to imitate his eyelids and the last images a person will see before they die • Additional gunshots will be added in the studio for a more professional touch
Mise-en-scene • Props like guns and money will be used in our film, essentially the main two powers that drive evil • Our characters will be wearing a calm shirt and trousers with not a lot of attention for a more older and mature look when they are not in crime • Back and top lighting will be used, when the murderer kills someone, to create shadows on the characters face. It creates a evil, intimidating and strong image to the audience
Sound • We will be using Non diegetic sound such as mood music such as fast tempo tunes for a more exciting action scene such as the beginning heist • Slow and dark music for more emotional or sympathetic scenes such as the death and when the murderer reveals he killed all the others • Diegetic sounds such as the baseball bat that was used for the second murder, beating the guy down and killing him
