  2. “An Example to the Believers” • 1Corinthians 11:1 “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” • Philippians 3:17 “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.” • 1Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

  4. Who should our examples be? • 1 Corinthians 11:1 “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” • Romans 15:1-5,Let our behavior reflect the example of Christ!

Who should our examples be? • Ephesians 5:1 “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” • Philippians 2:1-5, look out for the interests of others • 1Peter 2:20-23, suffer patiently

Who should our examples be? • Philippians 4:8-9, God wills for us to enjoy a close relationship with Him! • 1Thessalonians 1:6 “And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.” • 2Thessalonians 3:7-10, avoid being a burden to others.

To whom are you an example? • 1Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believersin word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.” • Titus 2:7 “…in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility…”

  10. To whom are you an example? • Matthew 18:6 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” • Philippians 2:14-15, We are an example to the world.

  11. What type of example are we setting? • Does my/your example promote a genuine sense of what it means to be faithful? • Is my/your example encouraging church growth? • Is my/your example worthy of imitation?
