  3. Participants • Respondents aged 50 to 92 (M=63) • Age groups: • 50-64 (61%) • 65-74 (27.9%) • 75 (11%) • Females 68.2%; Males 31.8% • Overall respondents reported good health (32.5%) to very good health (42.7%)

Key Findings • Respondents held more positive beliefs about and were more willing to use a variety of assistive health technologies • 68.5% held positive beliefs • 76.6% were willing to use a range of assistive technologies Variations in beliefs and willingness influenced by: • computer and Internet use • preferences for ageing in place

  5. Assistive Technology Features • Important Features • Affordability • Ease of Use • Safety • Amount of time willing to invest • Most willing to invest up to 15 minutes each day

  6. Preferences for Ageing in Place • Preferences for care/assistance: • 78.3% prefer to receive care or assistance in the home • Preferences to remain in the home: • 96.4% would like to stay living in their current home as long as possible • 75% expect to always live in their current home
