Programme Requirements – BIM and LM in blue • Core courses 60* / 57* • Elective courses 18# • University Language Requirement 6 • Chinese Civilization 6 • Out-of-discipline courses 9** / 15 (minor) Total: 99/ 102 • Including EE4093 and EE4095 Basic Training I & II, which carry no credit unit. # Students are required to take minimum of SIX electives of which no more than ONE level-3 elective course should be taken. ** OOD: any Level 2 courses except for those in the disciplines of electronic engineering, computer science, computer engineering and information/multimedia/web-based technology

  3. Curriculum Characteristics • The first two years focus on the basic principles and core aspects of information engineering on three streams: • (1) Mathematics and Communications; • (2) Computer Systems and Programming; • (3) Computer Networking. • In the third year, students are allowed to specialize in different areas of interest for career preparation.
