  2. Why Learn This? • You can use fractions or decimals to name an amount less than 1, such as the time in minutes it takes a sprinter to run the 100-yard dash. • Objective for today: To learn to read and write fraction and decimal parts

  3. Vocabulary • A decimal is a number with one or more digits to the right of the decimal point.
