Academics • Need 27 High School Credits to graduate • Need 61 Credit Hours to receive their Associates degree • English III = English 111, 112, 231 • Spanish 111 & 112 (Taken in College) • World History 111 & 112
Math Acceleration • Some students will have the option to skip High School Precalculus and take MAT171 College Precalculus based on: • Grades • EOC/NCFE Scores • NCDAP • MAT 171 Pretest • Even if you qualify, would need to see if acceleration is needed based on 4-year degree plan. Most degrees don’t require above MAT 271 • Even without acceleration, students can still take MAT 271, 271 College Calculus I & !!
Sophomore Seminar • It is a class designed to help students be successful in their sophomore year. • Friday activities count toward seminar grade • Service Learning • Pass/Fail grading

Academics – Dropping classes • Students are not allowed to drop a class after the first day of classes • Dropping a class is only allowed for administrative reasons & with permission • If a student drops a class or is dropped from a class by the college: • Receive an “F” for a high school grade and will have to pay for the book for that class. • If the class is taken out of sequence, must wait for sequenced time to retake class
Academics – Grade Replacement • Can only attempt to replace the grade in classes currently passed with a ”C” better 4 times during high school. • The grade earned in the 2nd attempt will be the grade on the transcript, even if it is lower.
College Communications • Ms. Board is the Liaison – Direct questions regarding college coursework to her. • Parents do not email or call instructors directly. • Have your student log in to Blackboard to check on college progress.

Policies • Bring Your Own Device – May bring your own laptop or electronic device, but will not be able to print. • Code of Conduct – Cabarrus Tech & RCCC • Dress Code • Outside Food • Textbooks – Must be turned in the day of exam or will be charged. • $25 Computer Usage Fee • Computer Damage • $10 Supply Fee
