  2. Meriwether Lewis • Meriwether Lewis was president Jefferson’s private secretary. He was 29 years old when he was the leader of the Lewis and Clark expedition.

  3. William Clark • William Clark was a happy man. • He had another name that Indians would call him. They would call him Redheaded chief.

  4. Lewis and Clark Expedition • Lewis and Clark were two brave men that led the expedition • Only one man died during the travel. His name was Sargent John Floyd.

  5. Sacagawea • Sacagawea helped Lewis and Clark communicate with Indians. • She was a Shoshoni Indian.

  6. Lewiston • Lewiston was named after Meriwether Lewis.

  7. Scannon / Seaman • Seaman was Meriwether Lewis's new foundling dog.
