What’s Your Job? • Frosty has been invited to a party, but can’t think of anything to wear! • Your job is to design an outfit for Frosty to wear to the party. The party has a winter theme, and Frosty wants to fit in. • If you’re ready to get started, click on Frosty to start designing Frosty’s outfit!
Step One: Design Your Outfit • Use the Frosty template to design your outfit. Follow this path… • Start -> Accessories -> Paint • File -> Open • Students on Midway -> Looten -> Frosty -> Frosty Template • Then use the Paint Tools to create your outfit. BE CREATIVE!!! • Click on Frosty when you are done.
Step Two: Printing & Saving • Now you are ready to print and save your outfit for Frosty. • Save your outfit by following this path: • File -> Save As -> Students on Midway -> Looten-> Frosty • Make the name of the file YOUR NAME • Print your picture by following these directions… • Go to File -> Page Setup • In the box that says Scaling, click “Fit To” and change it to 1 by 1. • Click OK, then go File -> Print, and print your Frosty on the color printer, Tech-4550.
Step Three: Convincing • Now you have to convince Frosty to wear your outfit to the party! Your job is to write a letter to Frosty explaining your outfit and why Frosty should choose your outfit. • First, explore this Power Point to learn the parts of a friendly letter. • Next, open Microsoft Word and type your letter. Remember to include… • all 5 parts of a letter • a description of your outfit • the reasons Frosty should choose your outfit • Print your letter on Tech 355-N.
Step Four: Check Yourself • Now it’s time to check your work! • Print off this rubric. • Work with a partner to check off each part of the rubric for your outfit and letter. Both of you have to agree before you can put a check by any part!
