Lining – Why have one? • A lining gives an attractive appearance to the inside of the garment • It also helps prevent stretching and wrinkling of the outer fabric • Some linings are added for comfort or insulation
Lining – How to make • May be cut from the same pieces as the outer garment • Seam finishes are not necessary • Use hand stitching to attach lining to garment along facings and hems
