  1. Color Psychology For a baby’s nursery

  2. Blues Blue is not just for boys. Blue is a harmonious tone. Avoid the darker blues and go instead with robin’s egg blue, sky blue and other similar tones to create a peaceful nursery.

  3. white White is the perfect balance of freshness, warmth, and clean. It’s a breath of fresh air to a neutral nursery space. You can pair it with any other color accents to bring out the rich and creamy goodness of white.

  4. yellow Yellow is known for its sunny temperament. It is bright and warm. If you are considering yellow for your nursery, consider the mellow yellows because bright yellow tones can increase anxiety.

  5. green Green is calming. It is believed to reduce stress, and help colicky babies relax. Green is tranquil, soothing and refreshing.

  6. purple Purple is soothing and sophisticated. Purple colors like violet and lavender can encourage creativity and artistic tendencies. It also has a calming effect.

  7. red Red walls are probably not a great idea for a baby’s nursery because it’s not the best sleep inducer. However, consider painting a single wall or have red accent pieces. Or, if you really want red walls, consider the playroom. Red is an energetic and lively color, particularly if you’re going with scarlet and crimson. In some cultures, red is considered to be a lucky color. In those cultures, red is the color of choice for most baby gifts too.

  8. orange Orange is a friendly color. It is inviting and invigorating, and it brings energy into a room. Consider shades like apricot and coral—these are balancing and grounding.
