Learning With and From Our Community Ascot Vale PS

What would a school facility design look like if we had spaces that facilitated personalised teaching and learning and our school included facilities that developed and enabled improved home/school and community partnerships?

In a Learning Studio…. • Students are active learners • Learning Plans are personalised • Environment is multi-disciplinary, promotes well being, is beautiful and multi-aged (intergenerational?) • ICT enhances learning and connects students ‘beyond the school’ • Habits of Mind behaviours and expectations of learners • Teachers and non-teachers supporting learning- LS Manager and Community Partnership Broker- Pre-service professionals- teaching, social workers- ICT technician- class teachers- adult helpers/ experts- Buddies (cross-age teaching)
