  2. FACTS • On their boats they had a pump line to test depth of water • A They made their own paint brushes made of thick rope brush. • sacred rattle was carried by very noble women • They were the first to use paper

  3. clothing • They had sandals made from strips of ox and they were well stitched together. • For actual shirts and dresses they used animal products such as cheetah. • For HOT weather they used linen light clothes to keep them cool and not too warm. • The way they got their warm clothing and food as well, is they hunted a bunch of animals.

  4. time • They had 10 days in a week. WOW! • They had only 3 seasons in a year. I hope one of those was summer • The Egyptians made two types of clocks they used the sundial like the Mesopotamians and the last clock is the water clock. • They also have 5 holy days

  5. pyramids • They used copper tools but soon changed to bronze tools to build the pyramids. • Then they changed for bronze tools to iron tools. • The Egyptians built the great pyramid of Giza • Pyramids are 4000 years old and only have a few chipped blocks. • The kafras pyramid is as tall as St. peters cathedral in Rome, Italy

Mummies • Mummy cases are painted with colorful,cheerful,and bright colors • They pulled the soon to be mummy’s brain out with a hook and pulled it out through the nose • They pulled the organs out and put it in a jar • Egyptians also covered the mummy in jewels to protect in after life. • They also had herbs so it can smell good

  7. Quotes • “He who is far above.” • “pyramids are over a thousand year old and still only have a few chipped blocks.”

  8. More facts • The Egyptians were the first to use sails on ships. • They ate pomegranate , palm tree fruit, grapes, • Dates, and baboons that do not have a fig.
