Membership June 1962 – Started with 60 students 1964 – 27 university chapters 1200 members 1965 – Membership triples April 1965 March on Washington 1968 – 30,000 members from 300 colleges 1969 – over 100,000 registered members - Along with registered members , thousands of non registered members supported the cause of SDS.
