Business of Baseball • Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 • Hosted by the Atlanta Braves • Get a behind the scenes look at the business side of professional sports • Enjoy exclusive question and answer sessions with executives from the Atlanta Braves’ Front Office. • $23 ticket includes outfield ticket to the game that day (against the Phillies!), a $10 food/drink voucher, and Braves hat • YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE IN DECA! • Money paid to Mr. Nieman by September 13th

  7. Fall Rally • When: Friday, October 14th • 75$ on www.mypaymentsplus.com by September 6th • Where: Georgia National Fair Grounds Perry, GA • What: Listen to a keynote speaker about leadership, participate in competitive events and then ride rides at the fair! 

Fall Leadership Development Conference When: October 20-21, 2016 Where: Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, GA What: • Professional Guest Speakers • Keynote Speech • Leadership Breakout Sessions Led By Professional Guest Speakers • Network with over 2,000 DECA members from all over the state in attendance

  9. GA Testing Only Events • Registration deadline: Friday, September 2nd • Competitions: Advertising Services, Buying & Merchandising, Entrepreneurship, Free Enterprise Economics, Marketing Math, and Selling. • The top 10 scores in each event will earn a slot to 2017 ICDC.

  10. Competition Workshop • When: September 15th, 2:15-3:30 • Where: Room 400 • What: Detailed intensive on competitive events in DECA

  11. Tech Drive • Bring in any of your old/used technology to room 400 to be recycled. Items include but are not limited to cell phones, CD cases, laptops, video game devices, printer cartridges, and more! • Each item is 1 community service point and you can bring a max of 3 devices! • Deadline is September 16th

  12. Fundraising • The 1st fundraiser of the year is the Encore Cheesecakes, Pies, and Cookie Dough project. If you are NOT in Mr. Nieman’s, Dr. Huffman’s or Mrs. Kucera’s classes – come to a quick fundraising meeting during your lunch Wednesday, September 7thin the multi purpose room. Remember—every member is asked to sell 10 items!

  14. Honor Cord Levels • 1st year- Honor level • 2nd year- Gold level • 3rd year- Platinum level • 4th year- Diamond level
