Evaluation of Key Information Summary in Forth Valley Healthcare System

This evaluation project aims to assess the usability and impact of the Key Information Summary (KIS) across EMIS practices in Forth Valley. The study will evaluate the sharing and understanding of information in various care settings to enhance patient outcomes and facilitate information transfer. Key deliverables include training, electronic templates, and a final evaluation report with recommendations for national rollout. The project timeline spans from initial practice meetings to national rollout initiation in May. Progress includes board establishment, practice recruitment, and staff training in KIS usage. Participating practices will engage in evaluation activities, share KIS with patients, and seek patient consent for participation in the pilot. The evaluation methodology includes usability testing, feedback gathering, and glitch tracking to enhance the KIS system for future implementation.
