Social Studies 7th Grade • The Social Studies test is a criterion-reference test that includes items based entirely on Louisiana’s social studies content standards. • The test has forty (40) multiple-choice items of an interrogatory stem of four answer options. These items assess knowledge, conceptual understanding, and application of skills presented in the GLEs. • The Social Studies test is untimed. 60 minutes is the suggested time allowed.
Social Studies 7th Grade Task • The students will have 4 documents to analyze. • They will have to answer 4 multiple-choice questions relating to the documents. (1 Point Each) • They students will have to write a multi-paragraph essay to answer a question. • They must cite evidence from the documents in their essays. • This will be worth 4 points • They will have estimated time of 45 minutes to complete the task.
Dates 7th Grade • Monday, April 7, 2014 – Math • Tuesday, April 8, 2014 - ELA Writing and Research • Wednesday, April 9, 2014 – ELA Reading and Responding and Science Multiple Choice Thursday, April 10, 2014 – Science Task and Social Studies

Social Studies 8th Grade Constructive Response • Students will have to analyze illustration, passage, or document. • They will have to write short answers (1 – 3 sentences) to answer the question given. • Each constructive response will have 4 sections and will be worth 4 points.
