AIMS • Reduction / Elimination of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke • Reduction / Elimination of smoking initiation • Identify students who could work as advocates and school leaders to promote tobacco free environments
ACTIVITIES • The Creation of didactic materials about smoking prevention into School Environmental Health Program (PEHSU-School Community) • Diagnosis (descriptive study) of smoking in school community (schools and homes of the members of school´s community) made by the children(the children interview their parents, professors,…) • Inclusion in student curricula of 4 hours of smoking prevention/education • To Identify students who could work as advocates and school leadersto promote tobacco free environments (Provide students with tools and resources to resist social pressure of smoking initiation ) • Parents and students Workshops • Visit and interview of leaders in adult oncology, neumology paediatric and pediatric environment health consultations (after day, as teacher youngs they explain their experiences with doctors, patients with cancer…) • To celebrate activities the World No Tobacco Day and others • Clown show: “chufo y chufa without bad smoke” • The program offers Smoking CessationServices to the smokers (Adolescent, professors, parents and other members)
