Sit quietly in a comfortable position with feet flat on ground, back straight and hands comfortably on knees either facing up or down. • Concentrate on your breathing, in and out and watch as it slows down. • Allow all thoughts, ideas, distractions to disappear with each breath, and when ready, begin to use the mantra. • If you ‘lose’ awareness of your breath or mantra, simply refocus on it, and begin again.
Mantra • The mantra ‘maranatha’ is the oldest Christian prayer (it means ‘come, Lord’), in Aramaic, the language of Jesus. • The mantra is said as two parts – ‘mara’ on the in breath and ‘natha’ on the out breath. This is said silently as the work of meditation is interior – the journey into self.
Lets Begin Timer (Click and set time on pop-up to begin) • ‘mara’ on the in breath and ‘natha’ on the out breath • Allow all thoughts, ideas, distractions to disappear with each breath, and when ready, begin to use the mantra. • If you ‘lose’ awareness of your breath or mantra, simply refocus on it, and begin again.
