  7. Clinical systems used • 17 practices • 11 using EMIS • 5 using Vision • 1 using Torex Premiere

  8. How PRIMIS was introduced • Paul King (Project Manager) went on a selling campaign during June and August 2000, speaking to PCTs and practices • facilitator employed • Gazette sent to practices informing them of their facilitator

Project chronology • June 2000 Project Manager appointed • October 2000 I was appointed • December 2000 1st data extraction • January 2001 1st feedback (60%) • Spring 2001 data used to support clinical governance • Autumn 2001 anonymised data presented at South Cambridgeshire CHD workshop • March 2002 89% of practices participating

  12. Practice Visit • baseline questionnaire completed with practices • agreement document explained and left with practice managers for completion and return

  13. Initial uptake • 10 practices signed agreement • 1 where no data were extracted until system upgraded • data quality queries run and formal feedback given to participating practices
