  3. Benefits of sex ed • Safe sex= LESS DISEASES • Knowledge of consent= LESS SEXUAL ABUSE • Knowledge of gender equality • Normalizing physical changes (puberty) • Knowledge of planning a family

  4. Problems of current sex education systems • Stigma around topics like sex, menstruation, contraceptives • Unqualified teachers • Sex education isn´t mandatory

  5. Good sex ED consists of • Teachings about healthy and respectful relationships • Teachings about puberty • Teachings about consent and equality • Education that is age and culturally appropriate

  6. Solutions • Normalizing and getting rid of the taboo surrounding topics like sex, puberty etc. • Having campaigns and petitions to spread awareness (social media) • Training teachers properly • Pressuring governments into making sex ed a priority (making sex ed mandatory, funding)
