  2. Overview • Draft Tool, Will Revise from Grantee Feedback • Content Relevant to Cross-Cutting Measures Across Multiple Themes/Topics • Primarily Designed to Measure Impact in: • New Teacher Induction • Professional Development (Math, Science, Tech.) • Teacher Working Conditions

  3. Overview • Teachers, Administrators, Volunteers, and Grant Partners all Respond (Questions Vary) • Administered Online • Anticipated 15-20 Minutes for Completion • Conducted Annually Over 5 Years • Designed to Measure Progress • Questions Modified Slightly Over Time • Responses Confidential

Overview • Results from Survey not Punitive, or Tied to Funding Levels • Results Support Modification for Project Improvements • Not Designed to Replace Individual Assessment and Reporting Strategies of Grantees • Individual Grantee Reporting Efforts Should be Supported by Survey; Coordinated Effort

  5. Implementation • Initial Survey Provides Baseline Data • Projects Currently Operating – Administer Initial Survey by May 2004 • Start-Up Projects – Administer Initial Survey by August 2004 • Final Timelines for Survey Finalized and Agreed Upon at March ATL Meeting

  6. Implementation • Grantees Identify Survey Respondents and Submit List to SECTQ for Review • Grantees Responsible for Driving Respondents to Web for Survey Completion • SECTQ Monitors Response Rate • SECTQ/BellSouth Provide Update to Grantees on Responses and Lessons Learned
