Emergency Response • In the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) Overall Emergency Operations Plan, LDWF is the lead agency for Emergency Support Function 9…SAR. • Agencies in support of LDWF are: • Louisiana National Guard • Agriculture and Forestry • Corrections • Culture, Recreation and Tourism (State Parks) • Louisiana State Police • Transportation and Development • LSU FETI • Fire Marshall • Alcohol/Tobacco Control
The primary players in SAR missions are LDWF, Louisiana National Guard (Air and Brigade) and the United States Coast Guard. These players are supported by FEMA USAR Teams.
