  2. Once upon a time there were three little bears. The first little bear was named Ben. The second one was named Brian. The last one was named Burt.

  3. One day the bears had to build a castle. Ben built a castle of feathers. Brian made a castle of cardboard. Burt made a castle of metal.

  4. Later that day the big bad lion came walking by. The bears were young, so they couldn’t fight back. They were confident that their castles would protect them. The big bad lion went after Ben first. The lion sneezed into the feathers and knocked down Ben’s castle. Ben ran far away to Brian’s house.

  5. At Brian’s castle Ben was happy. The cardboard looked very sturdy. Soon the big bad lion came walking by. He clawed down the cardboard castle. Ben and Brian ran to Burt’s castle. They thought they were safe there. Soon the big bad lion came walking by.

  6. He tried to knock down the castle. First, he sneezed. Then he clawed, and the castle was still standing. He tried to bite it. All of his teeth fell out. The lion ran away never to be seen again. So, the three little bears lived happily ever after.
