Parents are more INVOLVED!!!!! • Parents know what their kids are doing • School spirit- “Friends of NMS” • Access school info from work- NMS blog • In the car • At the rink • Over dinner • It’s all at their fingertips... • NO surprises!
Markbook- tracking progress • Marking software • Organize parental contact info • Share detailed progress reports w/ parents • NO surprises!

Reality bites! • Time consuming- do it right • Misuse of technology- trust and supervision • Accountability- excuses still exist • BE AWARE OF TONE- edit!!! • ‘net “courage” • Create an –mail folder to save ALL parental communication • Unable to reach everyone- Be confident!
