The National College’s “Vision” for Teaching Schools and ITT • Strengthening work with university partners to create innovative arrangements that provide outstanding experiences for trainee teachers • Commitment to developing new and existing teachers to be part of the wider academic, research and subject communities by having close links with a university • A wide range of professional development activities (including those at Masters level) into which trainee teachers will be fully integrated

NQT support as expressed in a hypothetical case study - Sunnyside Sunnyside acts as a hub for local NQT support. • It hosts/organisesmeetings of NQT induction tutors. • Its own outstanding departments support NQTs from other schools. • It hosts an annual conference for NQTs in core subjects to continue to develop subject knowledge and pedagogy. • It wishes to develop subject-focused NQT support with its university strategic partner. • It plans an NQT support system in which its alliance of schools share subject support.
