1914: arrived in Hong Kong and managed St. Joseph’s College 1925: purchased 13 acres of land to build La Salle College 1932: Principal of LSC and admitted 540 students in 14 different classes 1936: the largest enrollment in the colony with 880 students Rev. Brother Aimar Pierre Sauron F.S.C.(1873 – 1945) The Founder of La Salle College
1907: arrived in Hong Kong and taught at St. Joseph’s College. Subsequently joined and guided La Salle College. Served the De La Salle Secondary School at Fanling. Devoted 60 years of his life educating the youths of Hong Kong. Rev. Brother Paul O’Connell F.S.C.
1914: served France in WWI, decorated with the Croix de Guerre for his bravery in saving the many wounded 1921: arrived in Hong Kong and taught 11 years at St. Joseph’s College 1932: transferred to La Salle College 1945: Principal of La Salle College Co-founder of the Hong Kong School Musical Association Promoted scouting in Hong Kong and awarded the Silver Acorn Rev. 1938: arrived in Singapore from Toronto, Canada and taught at St. Joseph’s Institution Imprisoned during WWII and took care of the sick and old 1956: joined La Salle College Taught 25 years at LSC and preferred to remain as a simple teacher, managed the school library Cared tirelessly for the students who needed him most Rev. Brother Anthony Knoll F.S.C. (1916 – 1981)
1958: joined La Salle College and taught English, history and religion 1962: transferred to St. Joseph’s College (SJC), was Director of SJC and Supervisor of various St. Joseph’s schools Rev. Brother Alphonsus Breen F.S.C.
1958: joined La Salle College and taught English and economics, a great tennis player 1968: left LSC and taught seven years in Sabah, Malaysia 1975: returned to Hong Kong and assigned to St. Joseph’s College 1987: Principal of Chong Gene Hang College 1995: transferred to Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College, and later became Principal Continues to educate HK youths Rev. Served many years in South Africa 1976: joined St. Joseph’s College, Hong Kong 1981: Vice-principal of Chan Sui Ki (La Salle College) in Homantin 1990: Principal of LSC, together with the Old Boys founded the La Salle Foundation to provide funds for renovation and improvement of school facilities Rev. La Salle Primary School – It all began here in 1957 The first school building was originally La Salle College (Annex) built in 1937.
