He was born on November 21rst 1643.
Other Facts • After La Salle’s departure tonic was attacked by hostile Iroquois and was forced to flee the settlement. • In 1674 a block house was built at the out let of the Niagara River. • His group consisted of five canoes and 12 men.
FACTS! In 1669 he sold his land and spent 2 years exploring. He became more friendly with the Iroquois Indians, and learned from them. La Salle was deprived of his authority by a new governor in 1683 and went to France leaving Tonti in the Illinois country.
