  2. Reasons Some of the reasons Robert sailed to the gulf was for the riches and the fame.

  3. North American explorer • Robert was a French explorer hew lived from 1643 to 1687. king Lewis sent him on a journey from Canada on the Mississippi river to the gulf of Mexico.

  4. How long the journey took. • Roberts journey took him a total of two years from 1671 to 1673. He traveled from Canada on the Mississippi River to the gulf of Mexico.

  5. What part of the world he traveled • He mainly traveled in north America but came from Italy to Canada the on the Mississippi river down to America.

  6. How Robert live before he explored • Robert was born in France on November 22 ,1643.During his young adult years he was a member of the Jesuit religious order.

  7. Facts • He died on march 20 1687 when tow of his mea shot him in the head. • His real name was Robert Cavalier (which means knight). • When Robert de LaSalle was young he enjoyed science and nature.
