  1. Monday, January 29th • Check this board EVERY DAY • Welcome to 8th Grade Foods/Nutrition 8 • Please find a seat and be ready for class to begin (We will be getting a seating chart shortly) • Please take a copy of the 8th grade syllabus and a piece of plain white paper & a log sheet from the shelf • When class begins I will instruct you on what to do with the white paper as I take attendance. • Expectations • Folders/logs • Ice breaker

  2. Tuesday, January 30th • I will be giving you your seats momentarily • If you have a completed signed parent form please place it in the appropriate hour basket • Read pgs. 4-9 in YL textbook. Record in logs YL Questions 1-5 pg. 9 (21 pts) • Fill in Agenda with: • Ice Breaker • Gratitude Paint Swatches • Wooden Spoons • YL questions 1-5 pg. 9

  3. Wednesday, January 31st • Take a copy of the Food borne Illness handouts & Glossary of Terms. Make sure you read these. • Today we are watching a video: Great Food Fight/Discuss • We will read together in the YL textbook pgs. 328-31 and discuss. • Answer questions in COMPLETE sentences on page 331 #’s 1-6 on lined paper. Put you name and the assignment on your paper. Record in your logs: • YL Questions 1-6 pg. 331 (13 pts) Fill in your agenda with: • Watch video on Microorganisms • Read pgs. 328-31 in YL Text • Answer questions 1-6 pg. 331 • Read Food Bourne Illness handouts and Glossary of Terms

  4. Thursday, February 1st • Finish completing pg. 331; 1-6 and we will check • Complete the Microorganisms and You crossword puzzle record in logs: • Microorganisms and You X-word (33pts.) • Fill in your agenda with: • Finish questions on pg. 331; 1-6 • Microorganisms and You Crossword Puzzle

  5. Friday, February 2nd • Go to lab 208 and take Introductory Quiz • Finish completing Microorganisms and You X Word. • Record in logs • We will watch Food Safety Video • Fill in agenda with: • Take Introductory Quiz • Check Microorganisms and You X Word • Video: Food Safety
