  2. The Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Bengaluru had organized “Idea Contest 2015-16” that drew participation from over 100 colleges spread across Karnataka, Seemandhra, Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. http://www.udaysalunkhe.com

  3. Mr. Dattatreya Gaur, Senior Vice-President, Head, and Bosch- India, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Some of the members of the esteemed jury included Mr. Ajay Nanavati-Ex MD 3M Ltd, Mr. SudeeshVenkatesh -CHRO, AzimPremji Foundation, Mr.SurendraShahi- Founder, Street Appy, Mr. Sanjay Anandram-Venture Capitalist, Mrs .Revathy Ashok CEO, BPAC. http://www.udaysalunkhewelingkar.com

  4. The theme of the contest was Think India, Transform India commemorating late Dr. APJ Kalam’s vision of India 2020. The sub-themes were Smart city, Swachh Bharat, Digital India, Make in India, Skill India, Start up India Stand up India and Incredible India. http://www.udaysalunkhe.net

  5. The faculty of Welingkar visited colleges in all the 5 states and shortlisted 200 students out of which nine could reach the semifinals and then the finale. The first prize of two lakhs went to Satyanarayanan- a student of PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. http://www.udaysalunkhewelingkar.net

  6. The concept was of a walking stick enabled with internet of things for visually challenged with voice assistance; an electronic travelling aid for visually challenged people, which came under the sub-theme of Make In India. The idea contest turned out to be an exposition of ideas that were innovative, interesting and convincing. http://www.udaysalunkhe.in

  7. Dr. Anil Rao, Dean & Director, WeSchool, Bengaluru said “The Idea Contest 2015-16 was envisioned to spread awareness on the challenges and issues existing in the country. At WeSchool, we strive to develop design thinking, entrepreneurial skills and creative mindset among our students.
