  3. When you are riding your bike, you do not need to stop at stop signs.

  4. FALSE: Riding predictably is key in road safety. Obey all traffic regulations

  5. Bike riders should ride at least 4 feet away from parked cars.

  6. TRUE: Avoid weaving through parked cars and avoid the ‘door zone.’

  7. The ‘door zone’ is when a bike rider rides along side your car, near the door.

  8. FALSE: the ‘door zone’ is a dangerous area where it is possible to hit a bike rider while opening a car door. Look behind you before opening your door!

  9. If you are over 12 years old, you are not allowed to ride your bike on the sidewalks.

  10. TRUE: It’s against the law, dangerous and you could get a ticket!

  11. Riding against traffic is not illegal.
