This page contains instructions on how to enter sorties into the Web Mission Information Reporting System (WMIRS). The database for missions and sorties. Note that you need WMIRS privileges to be able to enter WMIRS. Contact Lt.Col Marl L. McCracken for this if you need access.
Note: WMIRS was unfortunately not designed to work properly with browsers other than Internet Explorer. Some pull-down lists won’t work correctly in other browsers.
USING WMIRS • These Are the basic tasks you can do in WMIRS • Logging into WMIRS • Creating a Sortie • Completing a Sortie • Loading Pictures.
LOGGING INTO WMIRS • Browse to https://ntc.cap.af.mil/login.htm and log in. • If you get a “Security Alert” asking you about the certificate, accept it by clicking on “yes”. • On the lower left, under the title “Quick Links” click on: • Web Mission Information Reporting system (WMIRS) • If you get another “ Security Alert” asking you about the certificate, accept it by clicking on “Yes”
Log into WMIRS • Click on the desired mission number to view that mission. • Or use the Mission search number window and put in the 4 digit mission number to search. • Click on the camera window to bring up the camera entry/view program. • Click on add image • Click on browse for image • Select image to download (each images has to be entered separately) • Put in the image lat/lon using degree, minutes and seconds • Put in the image date. • Put in image caption description of the target picture you took. • Mark if the picture will be viewable by the public. • Click upload image.
CREATING A SORTIE Log into WMIRS. In the left column, click on Current mission/sorties. Click on the desired mission number to view that mission Click on the “Edit/View Air Sortie” button Down at the bottom click on “Add” to create another sortie
NOW YOU’RE IN THE SORTIE PAGE. • Leave “Tracking Number” blank (used normally only for synchronizing with other organizations. • Choose “Sortie Date” (click on calendar, select day). • Select any backup date and end date or leave blank • On the right select “ Sortie type” • Click on “Pilot CAPID” select the pilot for the flight. • Click on ‘Tail Number Lookup” select aircraft number. (CS and Type will be filled in.) • Specify “ Takeoff Airport like “PDK: • Specify “ Landing Airport like “PDK” • Specify “Area Assigned” Like ATL/Georgia or lat/lon • Specify “Estimated Sortie Hours” • Specify “Est. Take Off time (Z) • Select “Object” enter objective of the sortie. • Click on the “Add Sortie” button on the bottom.
YOU’LL NOW BE AT THE FORM FOR THAT SORTIE. • Fill in ‘ Actual Sortie Time” with your actual HOBBS time (GA* is TACH) • Fill in “Actual Take Off time (Z)” is your engine start time. • Fill in “Fuel/Oil Cost” use actual receipt cost. • Do not do anything about maintenance cost; this is not applicable for the Georgia Wing. • Select the appropriate entry in “ Sortie Flown” • If you did not fly. Select the appropriate “Reason” otherwise leave it alone. • Click the “Update” button at the bottom.
COMPLETING A SORTIE Log into WMIRS In the middle of the Left Column, click on “Current mission/sorties” Click on the desired mission number to view that mission. Or use the Mission search number window and put in the 4 digit mission number to search. Find you sortie number, click on that number.
ENTERING PICTURES: Note: prior to loading pictures into WMIRS be sure to review the pictures for clarity and that there are no aircraft parts included. You should use a camera log to indicate the pictures you are taking and log the Jepg numbers of the pictures prior to downloading them. Once downloaded the pictures will include the information you input into WMIRS.
FINAL PROCESSING • Fill out the 104 form and the 108 form for you flight, attach the original fuel receipt,(mark your fuel receipt with the date, mission number and your last name and rank) and mail the completed 104 ,108 and fuel receipt to Lt.Col Marl L. McCracken, 2500 Wexford Drive, Albany, Georgia 31721-2140 for processing. • Only send the ORIGINAL Fuel receipts with your 108.
