Length 7.4cm Hair begins to grow Week 14 2nd Can start to hear and recognise mum’s voice Week 15 Gender Scan 16 - 32 weeks For sexing opinion usually with a wellbeing check. Limbs and joints now fully formed Week 16 Weight 100g Week 17 Cervical Length Scan 16 - 40 weeks Internal scan to assess and measure the Cervical Length. If a baby girl they will already be developing eggs in their ovaries Length 13cm Week 18 Nervous system being developed Week 19 NHS offer pregnant women their second 20 week scan for free Second Trimester Anomaly Scan 19 - 24 weeks For a detailed anatomical survey, longer than the usual NHS appointment duration. Week 20 Week 21 Length 26.7cm Baby’s gums producing tooth buds Week 22 Eyes formed but do not have colour Weight 430g Week 23 Growth Scan 24 - 36 weeks For growth measurement, weight estimate and umbilical cord Doppler measurement. Face formed with eyelashes, eyebrows and hair. Little lungs maturing Week 24 Week 25 4D Scan 24 - 34 weeks 4D imaging, growth and weight measurements. Tummy full up of meconium (first nappy contents) Organs all fully formed.
