  1. Analysis for the Allow Immediate Creation of Pooled Engagement for CFF (TAR05) Candidate POC: G. Shea

  2. TAR05 Overview • Summary Description • When tasked with CFF assignments, allow the operator the choice of spinning up a “pooled” missile as the mission is being created. • Fleet Benefit • Provides a reduced timeline in the execution of CFF missions. • Fleet Importance: High • CR Summary • Adaptive: 0 • Perfective: 1 • Corrective: 0 • TOTAL: 1

  3. TAR05 Analysis • Technical Description • When tasked with CFF assignments, allow the operator the choice of spinning up a “pooled” missile as the mission is being created. • Effort: Medium • Size: High (rate Low (<100 SLOC), Medium (<500 SLOC) or High (>500 SLOC)) • Complexity: Medium (rate Low (easy changes to implement), Medium (average changes to implement), High (difficult changes to implement)) • External Dependencies: None • Risk: High (rate Low, Medium, or High – see last page for guidance) • Addresses 1 CR Eliminates 0 TTBs/TIP entries

  4. TAR05 Recommendation • Recommendation Implement in v6 Defer for future consideration • Rationale • Captain directed improvement. • Issues • Do we need a mission for the missile to spin it up.

  5. Backup Slides(TAR05)

  6. TAR05 CR Summary

  7. TAR05 – Design Concept • CR 10184 – From the User Workflow review with the Captain. (CR #40), 04.01.01, Call for Fire (CFF) Tasking Execution (EN). Delete U.CFF.12, 13 and S.CFF.12, 13, and their corresponding flows,; add U.CFF.11->UO3.44; U.CFF.01 "System creates the pooled engagement". P3I, Bartlett, TAR. • Add an operator control to allow the operator to select the powering up and aligning of the CFF set-aside missile(s) selected in the CFF tasking while mission creation is being completed. • Addressed in the White Paper

  8. Risk and Effort Assessment Guidance • Low • Candidate is very well defined/understood • No issues are identified • Effort is Low (Size = Low AND Complexity = Low OR Size = Low AND Complexity = Medium OR Size = Medium AND Complexity = Low) • Medium • Candidate is defined/understood • Minor issues are identified • Effort is Medium (Size = Low AND Complexity = High OR Size = Medium AND Complexity = Medium OR Size = High and Complexity = Low) • High • Candidate is not fully defined/understood • Major issues are identified • Effort is High (Size = Medium AND Complexity = High OR Size = High AND Complexity = Medium OR Size = High AND Complexity = High)
