Today’s theme: test-taking skills • What should you do during the exam? • Bring sharp pencils, good erasers • Spend a proportionate amount of time on each section • Answer questions in this order: • First easy, then hard • First high point value, then low point value • Answer ALL questions – partial credit is your friend • Write legibly Study Minute

Today’s theme: test-taking skills • What should you do during the exam? • Read EVERY word (watch for “NOT” and “EXCEPT,” codon or anticodon, etc.) • Read EVERY choice! • Answer EVERY part! • Don’t assume you know what it is asking • Ask me to explain questions that are not clear. • If there’s time, cover your answers and rework problems. • Look for careless mistakes. Today’s theme: test-taking skills • What should you do during the exam? • Second-guessing is usually BAD. • In general: Change your first answer only IF you’re sure it was wrong (e.g. you misread the question) • Double-check your scantron • Did you forget to bubble any in? • Did you accidentally “double-bubble”?
