  2. Brief History • Engines on Marine Segment are used to power variety of Common Applications like Ferry Boats, Fishing Trawlers, Towing Boats, Pleasure Boats, Tugs, Speed Boats to Special Application like Big Vessels and Navel Ships.

Contd… • These requirement are met by Indian Engine Suppliers like Greaves/Ashok Leylend/Tata and MNC Supplier like Sinutruck/Cummins/Cat/Wartsila/Yanmar/Volvo/Yuchai/ Waichi etc. depending upon various factors like Boat- Size/Horse Power /Load Requirement/ Cruise speed etc. • Engines of 5 hp to 10000+ hp are available for Marine. • We are majorly supplying Engines to Fishing Trawlers. • India is Currently Ranked 2nd among major Aquaculture producing Countries with Annual Fish production of 9 Million Tons, which is expected to grow by 13 Million Tons by 2016.

  4. Product Range Majorly Following Mahindra Engine Models being supplied -- • 255 DIMA • 275 TU • 575 DIMA • Mahindra 6 Cylinder • And Following Models of SDEC • 200 hp • 240 hp • 300 hp • 385 hp

  5. Marinisation • Standard Mahindra Engine needs to be Marinized before installing on Boat. • Dry Exhaust Manifolds replaced with Water cooled Exhaust Manifolds. • Correct Heat Exchanger selected & installed. • Suitable changes being done in Elect. & Safety system

  6. Contd.. • Than Engine is being coupled with Marine Gear Box/ Transmission • Engine/Gear Box installed in Boat during Boat Building stage.

  7. Way forward • Huge Marine market exists due to vast coastline of our Country. Engines are being sold in secondary Market also as Boat Owners are replacing Engines in every 3-4 Years. • As Engines are clocking 10-12 hrs/day hence good Parts revenue expected due to high usage. • To strengthen our operation’s, we had appointed First Marine Exclusive Sales & Service Dealer to take care of Customer’s in Nagapattinam/ Karaikal Area of Tamilnadu.
