Meals • Morning and afternoon tea will be provided at the Centre • Lunch will be provided for staff working outside their normal work location • Advise special dietary requirements • Lunch - sign on sheet • If in field lunch - “guide $23.60 Orange & Dubbo, $25.90 Wagga” • Dinner - “guide $40.65 Orange & Dubbo, $44.50 Wagga” • reasonable two courses and one or two drinks • meals taken at motel restaurant • book meal to room

Timesheet / Worksheet • everyone must complete a timesheet • complete on a daily basis • signed by supervisor every day • approved by delegated officer when completed • copy to Logistics after period of work or when worksheet is full • forward to Payroll for payment of OT • keep a copy to transfer LIL to flex sheet • LHPA staff must also complete LHPA timesheets as per Authority requirements
Conditions of EmploymentI&I NSW staff • Standard hours: • 35 hpw staff - 8:30am to 4:00pm (30 min lunch) • 38 hpw staff - 7:30am to 4:00pm (30 min lunch) + 1 RDO every 4 wks • Overtime: • must be directed & approved by a financial delegate • paid or taken as LIL at OT rates • unpaid break during OT for 35hpw staff • paid break during OT for 38hpw staff • Travel time: • single time (regardless of weekend or PH) • taken as LIL only (not paid) • max claim 8 hrs per day

Conditions of EmploymentLHPA staff • Use the Emergency Management worksheet and Authority timesheet • Overtime must be directed & approved by financial delegate • Approval to work in another Authority must be given by State Controller & State Management Council • I&I NSW will reimburse Authorities for overtime and Authority vehicle use for staff operating outside their home Authority

Travel to and from CentresI&I NSW Staff • WBS Code – see Logistics • approval on task request P R I O R to travel • actual expenses claimed(no sustenance) • retain receipts for meals, taxi or train fares etc • incidental expense allowance – $16.50/day • to cover phone calls home, laundry, toiletries etc
Restrictions • No consumption of alcohol or be affected by alcoholwhilst on duty • No illegal drugs • Smoke free zone • Refer media to SCC or Media Officer
The Media • Communications Officer at the State Coordination Centre • Normally by invitation of the Locust Commissioner or Media Liaison Unit • Do not answer any questions - refer them to the Media Officer or Locust Commissioner • Treat media courteously
Confidentiality • Protect confidential information • Official information must not be used for personal benefit • May cause harm or give an improper advantage • Can undermine the integrity and credibility of the operation
Conflict of Interest • During the Term of the Agreement the contractor must not: • act as a consultant to any person who carries on or is involved in any capacity in an activity of business; or • carry on or be involved in any capacity in an activity or business, which may conflict with, or adversely affect the Consultant’s ability to carry out its obligations under the Agreement, and the Consultant agrees to immediately notify I&I NSW in writing if a risk of such conflict arises.

Occupational Health & Safety…2 • SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – • if it doesn’t appear safe “DON’T DO IT”! • take reasonable care of the health & safety of yourself and other persons at the workplace • use and care for equipment provided for health and safety - including personal protective equipment • report all work related accidents, illnesses, dangerous near-misses, unsafe working practices or conditions to your supervisor • obey instructions in relation to OH&S • comply with OH&S policies • wear appropriate footwear
Accidents / Injury • Work related accidents, injuries and illnesses must be reported IMMEDIATELY to your supervisor • Supervisor to notify SCC IMMEDIATELY • Notification of Injury bookmust be completed • Forms are in triplicate: • Report of Injury Form (white) - goes to State Logistics for all injuries (via line supervision) • 48 Hour Notification form (blue) – goes to State Logistics for an injury or illness treated by a Doctor or time is lost • Report of Injury Form (yellow) – remains in the book
Getting to and from work • transport provided from accommodation to work • Department car • hire car • Car pool where possible • no cost to staff • request receipt if using taxis or public transport
Motor Vehicles • current drivers licence • hire cars – full licence • no P plate or under 21yr drivers • NSW road rules apply • only persons involved in the operation • no smoking in vehicles • complete Motor Vehicle Running Sheet • fuel cards – place fuel receipt in satchel • what to do in an accident • vehicle is under warranty • employment agency staff – advise employment agency if required to drive vehicle
Accommodation • organised by Centre If a relative or friend is sharing your room for a night you are to advise the Logistics accommodation clerk before hand. Additional accommodation charge and meals / drinks are payable by the person. • private phone calls and mini bar expenses at own expense - pay directly to motel • contractors pay for ALL phone calls
Non Attendance • Notify supervisor if you are unable to attend work for any reason • Employment Agency staff • Advise Employment Agency, and • Supervisor • Department staff • must be covered by leave application to appropriate delegated officer
Cessation of shift / end of Operation • Site Departure Advice completed by everyone at the end of each shift (available from Logistics) • exit interview with supervisor • return assets & keys • copy of completed worksheet to Logistics – ALL personnel • I&I NSW staff - worksheet to HO Payroll (employees responsibility)
