  4. ESL classes are cancelled for Wednesday, November 6th.

  5. Girl Rising Sunday, November 10 JOA Theater Tickets: $5 Reserve your spot today! EDUCATE A GIRL, CHANGE THE WORLD

  6. 65 million girls are being deprived of an education worldwide. Without an education, some have no hope of escaping poverty.   7. Sci – Fi Club • Attention all who are in the Science Fiction or Fantasy Club, or those who wish to join • There will be a Harry Potter inspired meeting on Wednesday, November 6th. • All are welcome to come. Accio!

  8. MAPS • Attention MAPS Students • There will be a meeting Wednesday, November 6th directly after school in the Study Area. • Please bring any and all service ideas and we will be discussing upcoming events • See Mallory, Stephanie, or Ms. Spang if you cannot attend.

  9. Prom Club • The next prom club meeting will be held immediately after school on Wednesday, November 6th in room 211. • We will be discussing the theme for the 2014 prom. • Hope to see you there!!

  10. College Visits – Week of November 4 Friday, November 8 Wednesday, November 6 Davidson College Carnegie Mellon University

  11. ATTENTION SENIORS! • The representative from Josten's will be here to take Cap and Gown orders on Thursday, November 7th during all lunch periods. • Please complete the order form that was in the packet that you received in homeroom last week. • All seniors must order a Cap and Gown.  • Also, if you are interested in ordering additional Graduation accessories (graduation announcements, name cards etc.(refer to the packet), you can also order them at this time using the same order form. Note:There is a $50.00 deposit required when ordering the additional accessories.

  12. Attention seniors:  There is an extension on the deadline to submit your baby photos.   • They are due by November 25th. • Please follow the instructions in your email for submitting them online  • See Mrs. Haslett or Mrs. Flynn with any questions.

  13. Attention:  Juniors and Seniors attending the Jamaica Mission trip of April 2014!! There is a mandatory meeting this Friday November 8 from 2:45 to 3:15 in G10

  14. Attention NEW NHS Members There will be a brief meeting THURSDAY November 7th, at 2:45 in the Lecture Hall We will be discussing your induction ceremony See Mrs. Maxwell with any questions

  15. Attention all Forensics Students: Please check your email for information on scheduling practices. See Mr. MacDonald if you have and questions.

  16. Winter Sports • Any students participating in winter sports must have their sports physical forms completed and turned in by November 18th if you wish to try-out. • Those who have played a fall sport must fill out a re-cert form and turn it in by November 18th.

  17. Field Hockey News Congratulationsto Natalie Frost and Gracie Daigle for being honored as WPIAL All-Stars. Extra congratulations to Natalie Frost who was selected to the WPIAL All-Start Team.

  18. Submitto Forté • Are you an ARTIST? Are you a photographer, a poet, a doodler, an author, a dancer, a painter? • Then submit your art, whatever it may be, to FORTE, OC’s Art and Literary Magazine • Drop off submissions in Room 208 or send scanned or video submissions to oaklandcatholicforte@gmail.com • Our theme this year is PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE • Deadline for Submissions is November 15th
