When a PI or investigator logs on to Insight and clicks the Effort Reporting tab (or alternatively selects the [go to Effort Reporting] button), they will be navigated to their My Effort (History) page. This is where their current and historical Effort Certification Forms can be found. Only PIs and investigators can access this page; their view is limited to their own effort reporting records. If a [certify effort] button appears, that button will allow the user to open their Effort Certification Form (ECF) to review and certify their effort. Clicking on the PDF icon allows the user to view a print version of their effort report but they can not use this version to certify effort; all Effort Certification Forms must be certified electronically. For more details on how to certify effort, visit the effort reporting web page. Email Icon will open an email prompt to send questions or feedback to the Effort Certification Team (PHSEffort@partners.org) Instructions are available on every page to help guide you through the system. “Primary Effort Manager” would list the administrator designated to help the investigator with his/her effort reporting “ECF Report” allows the user to view an internal PDF version of their effort report. “Certify Effort” button will appear when Effort Certification Form (ECF) is ready for investigator certification. Selecting this button will open the investigator’s ECF for review and certification. If the button does not appear, check which queue the form is currently in. • “Queue” will indicate the completion status of an Effort Certification Form (ECF). • Pre-review (with Effort Manager) • Certification (with Investigator) • Post-review (with Effort Manager) • Complete (completed and no action needed)
