Personal Pronouns • Used in place of a name of a person or thing • It’s what you think of when you think of a pronoun • Mrs. Costello went to Paul’s house to see Paul’s sister. • I went to his house to see her. I, me, we, us, he, she, it, him, her, you, they, them, mine, yours, his hers, its, ours, theirs
Possessive Pronouns • Shows what or who owns or possesses something • Mine • Yours • Hers, his, its • Our/our • Yours/your • Theirs/their • My • Your
Possessive Pronouns • The red brick house is mine. • Is that yours? • My cookie is bigger than yours.
Indefinite Pronouns • Points out a person, place, idea, or thing, but not a specific one **Think about being in an emergency – no one would ever call an ambulance if you just said SOMEBODY! Or SOMEONE! Or ANYONE! You’re not talking about a specific person.

Demonstrative Pronoun • Points out a specific person, place, idea, or thing. • THIS This is my seat. • THESE Do you want these? • THAT That was super cool. • THOSE I always wanted one of those.
