Assignments • Figurative Language • Choose two examples of each of the figurative language techniques we have discussed in class from the novel. Copy the example from the story, cite it, explain how it exemplifies the figurative language you identified. • Simile, metaphor, personification, alliteration, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, and idiom. • Poetry (choose one) • Write a poem for two of the four main characters (Mole, Rat, Toad, Badger) describing them physically, emotionally and behaviorally. • Write an acrostic poem for all of the main characters. Include specific details from the story.
