  4. Suspension • What is a suspension? • What does the verb “to suspend” mean?

  5. Therefore….. • The suspension of disbelief is what?

  6. Movies…. • Suck us in to another world (just like books do!) • Ask us to “suspend disbelief” • We find ourselves saying….”yeah, that could happen!” • We are more forgiving in movies than we are with books.
